A call to action.
Barney Frank (D-Mass.) Introduced HR 2835 on Thursday, June 11th. This bill would protect seriously ill patients from being prosecuted
criminally for using marijuana when recommended by their physician. We have a plan to strongly push our Congressmen/women to act on this issue. If you want to help, follow these steps:
1. Read this: http://blog.mpp.org/medica
2. Email your representative here:
https://secure2.convio.net
3. Watch this video: http://mpp.org/federal-act
4. Print out 10 of these pre-written letters and get 10 of your
friends to sign and address them, then put on stamps and send them
out! http://www.mpp.org/federal
I changed the wording of my letters to be more specific
about Barney Frank's bill, and I think that will make them more
effective. The most important thing is that we voice our opinion.
78% of Americans support making marijuana available to patients whose doctors recommend they use it. A growing number of medical organizations, including the American College of Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians, have called for legal access to physician-supervised medical marijuana.
